But Zombie Jesus must eat, and he loves the little children. So he scatters chocolate eggs as bait, in the woods, in gardens, and even in our living room. Go ahead and get the eggs, but be careful of the ones in out-of-the-way places. Zombie Jesus may be waiting there, ready to pounce. But the good news is, he only takes one child back to his cave to eat each year, and once he's done this, fertility returns to the land and all the grown-ups can have sex again. And that's why we kill and eat a rabbit to celebrate Easter: to thank God that we didn't have to sacrifice our only son to pay for our sins."
Dave Ghoul Will have to Miss the Crawl
Sadly I have to announce that I will not be able to participate this year with the Philly Zombie Crawl. Steph, my wife, received news that a member of her family passed away and that services will be held this weekend in Indiana. And as much as I will miss shambling down South Street with all of you brain-loving zombies I really need to be there for Steph.
I hope all of you boils and ghouls have a flesh-eating-fun-time on Easter night and I look forward to hearing that you all scare the hell out of the townsfolk.

We decided that the Philly Zombie Crawl website needed a redesign. So we had Dave sit down yesterday and whip a little someth'n-someth'n up. It'll give us a lot more room to build the site to something a little more interactive in the near future.

The Countdown Begins...
We're just two months away from the 2nd annual Philly Zombie Crawl event and excitement is in the air!
As you know, the Philly Zombie Crawl began last Easter and one of the missions was to bring creative performance art and fun back to South Street! What better way to do that then with a night of zombies on Easter!
Sadly, over the past year, South Street's musical landscape has changed and at the moment there are no live music venues left to host a live musical element for this year's crawl ... we tried the TLA, but thanks to the higher-ups in corporate relations, the idea was shot down due to possible liability issues.
So - we move forward.
This Easter's crawl will be dedicated to the love of zombies! But have no fear - Philly Zombie Crawl is already working on a big live music event for fall ... so we'll have our brains and eat it too!!

Brain Blowin' Blast!
Over 120 Zombies came crawling tonight for the first annual Philly Zombie Crawl!!!!
The response was OVERWHELMING!! Special thanks to the crew at Tattooed Mom for their constant support to make this event happen, and to The Young Werewolves for their rockin' live set at Abilene's and for DJ Ian Saint Laurent and DJ John Redden at North Bar for their incredible zombie-set of music and of course to Psydde Delicious and the undead Zombie Go-Go dancers at Fluid's Fast Cheap & Out of Control!!
This event was just incredible and pictures were shot -- give us a few days and an extensive online gallery will be up on our site: under PHOTOS!
The Philly Zombie Crawl is officially an Easter Night tradition ... but have no fear - you don't have to wait until next year! We're going to do another Philly Zombie Crawl this October. Keep us as your friend on My Space, and keep checking this website!

The Rumble Underground
As I walk through the streets of the city, I can feel the distant rumblings underground ... the Zombies are beginning to stir and in just over a weeks' time, they will rise from the ground and MAN will they be thirsty!!
Don't forget that we'll be awarding prizes during the Philly Zombie Crawl ... at the stroke of midnight ... to some of the best Zombie costumes of the evening.
